Our aim as a family run business is create rural retreats for our guests, a place to get away from it all and relax in peaceful rural surroundings, whilst giving them the ideal base to explore the picturesque Teesdale countryside.

We are a family that's not afraid of hard work and will try our upmost to make every guest feel welcome and make our parks somewhere you can make your home from home.

Craggwood Holiday Park began when our family saw the potential in what was then a quiet, run-down holiday park in the heart of the beautiful Teesdale countryside. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the park had sadly seen very little investment for many years, but we could see what it had the potential to become.

Since taking over, it has been a privilege to breathe new life into Craggwood. Through continued investment, hard work and attention to detail, we have transformed the park into something we are incredibly proud of — a place we hope the whole of Teesdale can be proud of too.

As the family business grew, we also developed Riverside Touring Park, creating another peaceful countryside setting for those looking to enjoy everything Teesdale has to offer. Riverside has continued to go from strength to strength and has become an important part of our family business.

Set amongst beautiful woodland with stunning views of the river, Riverside offers a relaxed and spacious environment with large, open seasonal pitches. Both 8-month and 12-month seasonal pitches are available, giving owners the flexibility to choose what suits them best. The pitches are thoughtfully laid out with block-paved plot boundaries, helping to create a well-kept and attractive setting while retaining the natural character of the surrounding countryside.

Back at Craggwood, we have taken a gradual and considered approach to improving the park, carefully renovating existing areas while creating new developments, each with its own character and connection to the surrounding Teesdale countryside.

Park Lane welcomes you as you enter Craggwood and retains much of the traditional character and charm of the park. With large, spacious plots and a selection of more classic-style static caravans, it offers a relaxed and established feel. Overlooking open fields where horses can often be seen grazing, Park Lane provides a peaceful countryside setting from the moment you arrive.

Riverview Luxury Retreat offers a more luxurious lodge experience, featuring both single and twin-unit lodges positioned on some of the most spacious plots on the park. Its peaceful setting and beautiful surrounding views make it a special part of Craggwood.

Our newest development, Meadowview, opened in 2026 and marks another exciting chapter in Craggwood's story. Featuring residential-specification lodges, generous plots and stunning views across the surrounding countryside, Meadowview represents the next stage in the continued development of the park.

While Craggwood Holiday park and Riverside touring have changed considerably over the years, the values behind them have remained the same. We are still a family-run business, committed to continually investing in our parks and creating welcoming, peaceful places where our owners can relax, enjoy the countryside and truly feel at home away from home.
